These Comfy, Travel-ready Adidas Shoes Are Under $100

As a frequent traveler, I can confidently say I’ve nailed a packing list that prepares me for any destination. When I have a trip coming up, I plan my outfits based on my itinerary, first looking in my closet, then ordering anything else I might need. I try on and take photos of everything I want to wear so I don’t end up overpacking. Sometimes it even feels like I spend more time planning outfits than my trips themselves.

But this fall, I found myself scrambling to pack for an Alaskan cruise after a few back-to-back trips. Just a week before the trip, I scrolled through trend reports and ordered new pieces to wear. After seeing that brown walking sneakers were trending, I was most excited to order Adidas VL Court 3.0 Sneakers and instantly started imagining myself walking around Alaska wearing them.

My sneakers didn’t arrive until the night before my trip, when my suitcase was already packed and my outfits were all planned out. I put them on and walked up and down my hallway to test them out—right away, I could tell that they were lightweight, comfortable, and supportive. Not wanting to unzip my already-stuffed suitcase, I made the last-minute decision to use the Adidas as my airport shoes, which means I would be wearing them for a 13-hour travel day straight out of the box—a bold choice for brand new sneakers. 

To get to Alaska, we took two flights with a quick layover—so I put a lot of trust in the VL Court 3.0 shoes. As a short girl, I often opt for sneakers with a platform, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this slimmer style. Luckily, these sneakers have a suede upper that makes them flexible and a soft rubber sole. Rushing through the airport between flights, I appreciated how lightweight and easy they were to move in. 

But what really set me up for success is how cushioned these sneakers are. They have extra padding around the ankle and a soft, flexible tongue made out of a puffy material, so they didn’t rub against me or cause any blisters. By the time we arrived at the gate for our second flight, I felt them starting to mold to my feet and getting more comfortable as the day went on. When we ended the night at our hotel in Anchorage, my feet were still completely pain-free.

Aside from being comfortable, these sneakers are also stylish and versatile. Once on board the ship, the Regent Seven Seas Explorer, I found myself reaching for them throughout the week to explore ports like Skagway. Despite not including them in my original outfit planning process, they looked great paired with anything in my suitcase, thanks to their neutral hue and slim profile. The brown colorway is what originally drew me to the Adidas VL Court 3.0 Sneaker since it’s on trend for fall. But, they also come in a wide range of colors, ranging from bright hues like yellow to classic white. I’m currently eyeing the silver shoe for my next trip. 

Now that I’m back in New York City, these Adidas sneakers have remained in high rotation in my wardrobe. I’ve paired them with cream cargo pants for a more sporty look and a plaid mini skirt for a more feminine outfit. Plus, I always get compliments when I wear them out.

I already know these Adidas sneakers will come with me on many more trips in the future. Unsurprisingly, they’ve become a go-to travel shoe for others as well.
