Aman properties are all about the service, and even on a remote edge of a small island in the Caribbean, service is at the forefront of your Amanyara stay. There is no request too demanding for the incredibly trained staff here. Our three-bedroom villa was a short stroll away from a private beach — where just a whisper of us wanting to head down for a dip resulted in beds set up and a coolbox full of ice cold beers, soft drinks, cold towels and SPF. The usual array of water sports is on offer: paddle boards, kayaks, snorkels and so on. But the facilities on land are as impressive with a sports club offering comprising of tennis court, pickleball, basketball, gym (we had a high-energy boxing class that was the most fun I’ve had in a gym for a while), a games room, cinema room as well as private yoga and pilates classes that take place in the serene spa setting surrounded by water. Aman brings in a host of celebrated wellness stars to create programmes for their guests and currently tennis superstar Novak Djokovic has curated a three-day Detoxification Programme that offers a grounding reset for mind, body and soul.
