
I’ve explored Boston in every possible mode: when I lived here as a kid, as a college student hanging out on weekends, on work trips, on family trips, and on quick day trips from my parents’ house in nearby Cape Cod. What I’ve learned is that this city works best when you’re diving in and experiencing it. In other words, it comes to life when you’re touring with a pint in hand, hearing crime stories you didn’t learn in school, ducking into cemeteries after dark, or seeing the city from the water instead of the sidewalk.
